After visiting New Orleans over a year ago, SCALEhouse has a proposed design for multi-family housing for the lower 9th Ward neighborhood that was wiped out by Katrina. The design consists of a group of 4 buildings with a total of 10 units, raised on concrete columns and accessed through a central common area and lobby. Rooftop access is provided for the occupants pleasure and safety. The project will be built with SIPS, each carport will have PV’s, and the exterior will be a low maintenance TRESPA.
